Program Organizer - Her Vote – Her Seat: Women’s Political Participation & Leadership Initiative (UN Women-aligned)
Position Summary
JAAGO Foundation Trust is seeking dynamic and field-oriented Program Organizers for a UN Women-aligned initiative aimed at strengthening women's political participation and leadership in Bangladesh. The project focuses on addressing structural barriers such as discriminatory social norms, limited civic awareness, and violence against women in politics through evidence-based and gender-responsive communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Activity Implementation
- Plan and implement district-level workshops, community meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Organize courtyard meetings, voter education initiatives, and youth-led campaigns.
- Support advocacy events, media orientations, and public engagement activities.
- Ensure implementation aligned with approved work plans, timelines, and budgets.
2. Budget Management and Financial Accountability
- Manage activity budgets following organizational and donor compliance.
- Prepare cost estimates and support budget planning.
- Maintain proper financial documentation (bills, vouchers, records).
- Ensure transparent and efficient use of resources.
- Coordinate with finance for tracking and reconciliation.
3. Community Mobilization and Engagement
- Engage local leaders, women representatives, youth, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate volunteers and local networks.
- Ensure participation of marginalized and underrepresented groups.
- Strengthen local advocacy and engagement platforms.
4. Campaign and Outreach Support
- Support digital and offline campaign implementation.
- Facilitate dissemination of IEC/BCC materials.
- Organize awareness activities using culturally relevant approaches.
- Ensure gender-responsive and inclusive communication.
5. Logistics and Event Coordination
- Arrange venues, materials, and participant coordination.
- Manage invitations and attendance tracking.
- Ensure availability of training materials.
- Maintain proper documentation (photos, attendance, reports).
- Coordinate with government, CSOs, media, and community actors.
- Engage religious and political leaders for advocacy.
- Maintain strong district-level partnerships.
6. Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting
- Collect field-level data and feedback.
- Prepare narrative and activity reports.
- Document case studies and success stories.
- Support baseline, endline, and validation processes.
- Ensure timely reporting (programmatic & financial).
7. Safeguarding, Gender, and Inclusion
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding and gender principles.
- Promote safe participation of women and vulnerable groups.
- Report safeguarding concerns as per policy.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Political Science, Gender Studies, or relevant discipline (May be relaxed for highly experienced candidates).
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of field-level implementation experience.
- Experience in civic engagement, governance, or gender-focused programs preferred.
Skills and Other Competencies
- Strong community mobilization and facilitation skills.
- Budget management and financial tracking knowledge.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Report writing and documentation ability.
- Ability to work independently in field settings.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office and digital tools.
- Understanding of local context (union/upazila level).
